Meet the doctor
Dr. Candace Wakefield is a children’s dental specialist. She has the unique ability to relate to kids. Dr. Wakefield is passionate about helping children of all ages maintain a healthy and beautiful smile by establishing a positive attitude towards dentistry.

Dr. Wakefield was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 1995. Dr Wakefield attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2000. After dental school, she continued her dental education and attended Howard University in Washington D.C. She was elected chief resident in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and received her Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2002.

Dr Wakefield enjoys teaching as well as her full time clinical practice. She is an adjunct faculty member of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Wakefield is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association as well as the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. She has volunteered her dental services to meet the needs of children in other countries such as Nicaragua and Jamaica. Dr Wakefield is active in her church as one of the youth Sunday school teachers. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, travel, and watch movies.

Dr Wakefield pledges to provide all children with outstanding dental care in the safest, effective, efficient, and enthusiastic manner possible. Dr Wakefield is interested in promoting dental awareness for both children and their parents. She wants your child to have the most pleasant experience so as to achieve the benefits of healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime!
